Nadiya Coil is a composer and sound artist working with low-frequency movement, prepared strings, and modular synthesis. Her music develops through accumulation: a nearly static field becomes crowded, then exposes a small detail that had been present from the beginning.
She treats the studio as a place for translation between materials. Bow pressure can become voltage, a room tone can become meter, and a technical limitation can become the work's clearest voice.
